Welcome to the City of Pinson

Pinson, Alabama: A People of Pride and Progress
The city of Pinson, Alabama has a rich history and although the actual incorporation of the city occurred in 2004, the Pinson community is one of the oldest in the state of Alabama.
The residents in this city, from the Palmerdale and Pinson Valley communities, were united in the goal of local control with an overwhelming vote for incorporation. After the initial incorporation, the next chapter was set in motion.
Pinson's Mayor, Hoyt Sanders, and the Pinson City Council invite you to visit our city to experience the warmth and charm that is a staple of southern hospitality.
We are the Past.
One of Alabama's oldest communities.
Being one of the oldest communities in Alabama, Pinson is rich in history. We are home to Bullfrog Bend and the Jefferson Warriors. In the early 1800's, Andrew Jackson's soldiers were some of the first people to settle here after their victory at Horseshoe Bend.
Descendants of Pinson's founding families still reside in our community and have played a major role in the development of cultural establishments in Jefferson County.
We are the Present.
Offering variety and community support.
Pinson offers a wide variety of homes in a range of styles and sizes. We have several denominations that worship in our community. Our Churches also provide child daycare and programs for our seniors. We are strong supporters of our children in sports through the recreational association and our schools. Our "jewel in the rough" is the Turkey Creek Preserve, home of the endangered Vermillion Darter Fish.
We are the Future.
On the right road to growth.
Pinson will be a major part of the I-459 Northern Beltway. Our Government and community continue to work together for future growth and City planning.
