Duties of the City Clerk

The City Clerk is the Custodian of Records for the City and is responsible for all public documents; prepares agenda, attends and records the proceedings of all Council meetings; maintains records of all rules, ordinances, and resolutions of the Council; acts as custodian of the City Seal; conducts all municipal elections; schedules, coordinates, and plans special events and functions for the Mayor and Council; and provides general administrative and clerical assistance to the Mayor and Council.

The City Clerk’s office also issues, maintains, and manages various city permits and licenses. Our business license application is available in office or on our website.
